A Somme Anniversary tour for 30 people:
The group leader contacted us with his rough itinerary, we fine-tuned it and added
a few suggestions, booked the accommodation and land-based transport and provided a guided tour over one week. The group from Portadown have since become regular customers.
Normandy to Berlin
An American couple contacted us requiring a tour over 18 days following the Allied advance from Normandy beaches through to Berlin. The client had very specific requirements with regard to luxury accommodation and touring vehicle. We put together a detailed itinerary, limiting daily mileage and arranging lunch stops. Each hotel was personally visited to ensure the clients’ wishes were being catered for. Despite the length of the tour the clients were very happy and have booked again this year.
J.R.R. Tolkien
A relative of the author contacted us for a tour for father and son in the Somme and Ypres Battlefields. An itinerary was put together including the areas where Tolkien fought and where his two best friends are buried. Tolkien left no known diaries of the war, but translated his experiences into the epic ‘Lord of the Rings’.
